As Principal Contractors, you and your employees are required to complete the assigned Inductions before commencing work at site.
This Induction training is a legal requirements and helps to ensure that you and your employees are familiar with site safety requirements.
Your Contractor Manager will identify the type of Inductions required based on contractor type e.g. an electrical contractor or a cleaning contractor. Examples of Inductions are: Site Familiarisation, General Contractor Induction, Food Safety and Quality Induction or Induction Electrical License.
Once your employees are added to conTrac, they will receive an automated email from conTrac with their login details so that they can complete their Inductions in conTrac.
Principal Contractors who are Administrators and will not work at site, are not required to complete Inductions.
Principal Contractors are responsible for ensuring that their employees complete all required Inductions.
conTrac uses Status Icons to show Induction training progress at a glance.
To complete Inductions:
1. Select the Contractor Status Report menu.
2. Click My Contractor Status.
3. The list of Inductions that you are required to complete is shown here.
4. Click the orange icon in the Status column to open the list of Inductions.
1. Click on the Unit Name e.g. Unit 1 External Contractor Induction (Online). The unit will open so that you can start your training.
2. The status icon will turn green once the unit has been completed.
Note: Your employees will use the same process above to complete their Inductions.
