All contractors must complete a GWF Site Induction before commencing work at site.
Further training/inductions must be completed based on the work to be conducted. This section covers these areas.
Go to the “Manage Inductions” menu.
MANAGE INDUCTIONS
- Site Inductions List
- Enter the below information
- Induction Name
- Summary
- Induction Enrolment Validity – This is the time given to complete before the induction status turns red
- Induction Completion Validity – This is the time the induction completion is valid for before it needs to be re-taken
- Tick the “This course is for existing record transition” box. This option allows a user who has completed a face to face induction to complete an online version of that induction when their refresher is due
- Contractor type – select the contractor type as shown in the image below. This option allows you to select the contractor type that an induction applies to when the induction course is created (the course must have at least one active unit before the option to add Contractor Type is shown)
- Select “+ Add an activity or resource”
- Select an activity or resource
- Enter the unit name and description
- Upload document
- Leave the next 3 tabs
- For a “Read & Acknowledge unit/activity” enter the wording for the response, eg. “I have read, understood and agree to my authority and responsibility at this site”
- Leave the next 4 tabs
- Click “Activity Completion” then select “Show activity as complete when conditions met” from the drop down box
- Tick “Student must view this activity to complete it” and “Show as complete when user makes a readnacknowledge”
- Click “Save and return to course”
ASSIGN INDUCTIONS LOCALLY
To assign an induction to a “Contractor type follow the steps below:”
- Select “Manage Inductions”
- Site “Contractor Type List”
- Select the “Contractor Type” you want to add the Induction to
- Select the induction/s
- Click “Add Inductions to Local Contractor Type”
